One of the things I wanted to do was to take a few minutes to talk about where nizeX, Inc. is headed. What are our goals and when are we planning to reach them? Who exactly is Lizzy™ and what will she be like in another 6 months? To start with, nizeX, Inc. is headed to becoming the worlds first fully functional Web Based Business Solution on the market. We’ve competed with other Dealer Management Systems in a couple different markets for over 15 years now. We were the first company to produce and market a Windows based solution when all of our competitors were saying it couldn’t be done. We’ve built interfaces to companies that didn’t think they needed them, way ahead of anyone else. We’ve always been on the leading edge with a goal of bringing to our customers solutions that no one else had dreamed up yet. Today is no different!

With the creation of Lizzy™, nizeX, Inc. has set the stage for the next evolutionary step towards a better business system. We’ve not just written a new software package that can manage your business, we’ve done something far greater. We’ve created a software package that opens up more doors for your business and your organizational abilities than you can imagine. Yes, it’s true, we do Invoicing and Inventory control, just like our competitors, or is it? Do we really do it like everyone else? Let’s take a look at not only some of the differences, but why these differences open up a whole new world to your business that the others don’t understand yet. The first thing you’ll notice with Lizzy™, is that she requires no specific software installation to get started. This means you can access her from literally anywhere in the world from almost any device and at any time. Do you work on the road, from a trade show, from a customer’s office? You can access your business system from anywhere now.

So while it might appear true that in the end we’re all just creating invoices, the real question is, but what else can I do? In the current version of Lizzy™, she creates an invoice. In a very near version she’ll be able to allow your customers to generate their own invoices from their homes. They’ll be able to check on their service tickets and orders without bothering you. The most beautiful part of this is that because she’s web based, they will be accessing your live data, not a copy of information that has been transferred from one system to another. Because Lizzy™ is completely integrated, we don’t make copies of anything. If you’re in the CRM system and want to view invoices for a specific customer, you’re basically asking the Invoicing module to show you the data. We’ve also added a lot of extra processes to the system to allow Lizzy™ to better track your inventory, better maintain your General Ledger, Checking Accounts, Payroll and pretty much everything else. We’ve even added the ability for Lizzy™ to manage all of your emails, allowing you to access and respond to emails from anywhere, using Lizzy’s™ email system. This will not only allow you to keep track of all employees’ emails, it will automatically link those emails to their respective customers and maintain a history of correspondence in one location instead of on 20 different computer email packages scattered around your office and home.

We’ve also designed Lizzy™ with the idea of growth from the start. In the past, one of the problems we always had with our older system was how to integrate needed changes into the system without breaking the older processes. Lizzy™ has been designed from the ground up with expansion in mind. We’ve laid out every single piece in a way that can be expanded upon without breaking any of the underlying code. Everything has been created as separate objects that can basically grow as needs are discovered or future ideas come to mind. Our goal with Lizzy™ is simple. We want to provide a system that can literally run every aspect of your business, not just figuratively.

The list of bullet points on our main website at nizeX.com are not just ideas, but things we’ve started with. We’ve redesigned the entire user interface to create a system more easily learned and navigated with built in video tutors at every step of the way. Instead of trying to design a whole bunch of new processes into the system at the beginning, we decided that we’d just design the regular needed functions better than anyone could have thought possible. The exciting part however is not in what we’ve accomplished today, but what is coming next.

Now that we’re reaching the end of Phase I and II ahead of schedule, we’ve already started laying out plans for the next release with even more features. When we say we have a CRM system built into Lizzy™, this is not just to say we have CRM. Our true goal, and one we’ve already reached in many different areas, is to give companies like Microsoft and Salesforce.com a run for their money. With Lizzy™, we’ve designed a system that is going to make you ask, “why isn’t everyone else doing it this way”.
At nizeX, Inc. we’re very excited to be involved with Lizzy™ today, but the future is what has us and our customers looking forward to tomorrow…..and our competitiors hoping tomorrow never comes….

Dear Valued Customers,

I would like to start off by thanking all of you for your continued support, confidence and commitment to our technology and to our company. Many exciting changes are taking place here at SofTek Software International and none of it would have been possible without you – our valued and loyal customers. I would like to take a few moments of your time and update you.

We have moved our offices for SofTek Software Int’l Inc. and the new address and numbers are:

SofTek Software International, Inc.
5815 Market St. Suite #2
Boardman, Ohio 44512

Sales: 678-359-4187
Support: 678-359-4184
Fax: 866-211-7491

We are continuing to work hard every day to complete our next release of our Dealer Management Software technology. LIZZY™ was first introduced to you back in August and she is preparing to be rolled out in the next few months. We are very excited about the new technology that has been developed for you and your businesses. Please continue to visit our new website www.nizex.com to learn more about the progress of LIZZY™, check out a demo or read more on the Latest News tab. You can also join the forum section to ask a question, to review what other customers have asked us and to share your ideas, suggestions and concerns. We welcome your input and need your honest and open feedback so we can meet your expectations as well as address your concerns.

On a separate note, I have recently been made aware of incorrect information being spread around by our competition as well as by some of our existing customers in regards to the investment required to upgrade to LIZZY™ in the future. The rumor I have heard is that it will be very costly to our existing customers when the time comes for them to upgrade to our new release in 2010.

Please allow me to put all your fears, concerns and anxieties to rest by informing you today that there will be NO CHARGE to upgrade to LIZZY™, NO CHARGE for the conversion and NO CHARGE for the training for any of our existing customers who are currently participating in our software support and maintenance plans – either annually or on a monthly basis. The investment for LIZZY™ will be based on the current annual software support and maintenance plans, divided by 12 and that amount will become your monthly service fee for the new system and the annual software support will end.

I hope this clears up and eliminates the confusion as to what you can expect your monthly payment will look like when the time comes for you to upgrade to LIZZY™. The “Quote System” on nizex.com is for potential new customers to get an estimated monthly rate for our new technology. We have enlarged the verbiage on the rates page that now reads:

CURRENT TBA CUSTOMERS NEED NOT USE THIS FORM AS YOU GET SPECIAL PRICING!

As a reminder, www.nizex.com has also been designed for you to communicate directly with our technical support staff when you require customer support/customer care. There is a link on the right side of the main page “Contact Support” where you can communicate with us via email. If you have already sent previous correspondences to us, you only need to fill in your email address, check the box and communicate the nature of your request. If it is your first time emailing us, please fill out all of the fields with Green labels, then type your request in the message box and submit. Your request is sent directly to our Tech Support Team, a service ticket is generated and your request is sent to the appropriate department for the required attention.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive over the past two months since we introduced the new customer support system – in timeliness of response and equally as important, the accuracy of the resolution to the specific request or need. We will continue to monitor and to evaluate ways that we can improve the overall level of customer support and attention to your needs. Your continued feedback, suggestions and ideas are welcomed and needed as we continue to work to better serve you and provide you with the best possible customer care in the industry.

In closing, I would like to address the topic of Price Files. There continues to be a misunderstanding and a degree of confusion that has developed for some of our customers as to what our Policy has been and our continued commitment to helping our customers with formatting price files. SofTek Software has always supported the position that we will assist our customers in getting their price files directly from their manufacturers and will do so free of charge. We will also teach our customers how to format their price files and teach them to import them directly into The Business Assistant. Again, we do this free of charge.

However, we have always charged $50.00 per price file when we are required to get the price files, format the price files and provide you with the formatted price files. SofTek is required to purchase many of the price files and in order to continue to staff the price file department; we will continue to charge a fee for formatted price files. This is no different than what we have done in the past, no different than what each of our competitors have always done and no different than what the industry has always accepted.

Some of our customers have taken a very negative stance in regards to our decision to continue with the price file department and continue with the industry standard fee of $50.00 per price file. This decision was made in order to maintain the price file department and assist those customers who want to enjoy the benefits and convenience of having us format and provide them with the price files they need. The decision was not made to upset or cause any ill will towards our company or damage any of the long term professional relationships we have established over the past 15 years.

Please understand that all of us at SofTek Software have a common goal – to provide each and every customer with a pleasurable, professional experience each and every time we are given an opportunity to serve you and the needs of your staff and your loyal customers.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss any of the changes taking place within our company, please contact me, Pete Rassega, Vice President at 678-359-4187 or Glenn Hancock, President and Founder of SofTek Software at 678-999-2144. We welcome and require your input, ideas, constructive criticisms and vision as we continue working towards the future and our goal of providing you with a superior technology.

Sincerely,

Pete Rassega

Vice President

Over the last few weeks I’ve had a couple people ask a question that I wanted to put to bed once and for all. While we fully realize that other companies are going overseas for help with their support, we will NEVER be doing so. If there is one thing I absolutely despise, it’s a company taking my money here in the States and then making me talk to people in another country that could care less about my problems.

At Softek as well as at Nizex Inc. you have my word that we will NEVER GO OVERSEAS!!.

Our recent changes in support were made in order to get better organized and hopefully take care of customers in a more timely manner with more professional and correct answers. When I say quicker though, I don’t mean we answer the phone in 3.2 seconds, I mean that when we get on the phone with you that our professional support staff has read your request, understands it and is ready to help solve your issues. So yes, it is different, but it was made in order to improve the overall experience, because, while answering the phone quickly is lovely, it results in bad information being shared, something we wish to eliminate.

To be sure you got it the first time, we are not going overseas and really are trying to provide a higher level of service than ever before. We realize there may be kinks here and there and please know we’re working hard to eliminate them once they are identified.

Stay tuned as I’ll be posting my Friday update later today.

Glenn

It’s official! Lizzy has been in testing for over a year at multiple companies as well as internally here at Nizex and we finally feel she is ready for deployment to start aiding companies with CRM, PDM and scheduling processes. While our sales crew is gearing up for the orders and getting the main website touched up, we’re still focused on the other plugins such as Invoicing, AR, AP, Payroll and others. Each of the additional modules should be getting rolled out shortly as they are all near completion and already in testing.

We’ll be adding more training videos and tutorials to the site in the weeks to come, and please give us your feed back good or bad, especially bad, so that we can work towards having things work the way you think they should. Even if you’re not ready to purchase now, please let us know why, so that we can work towards having you as a customer in the future.

Nizex operates and adds new processes based solely on User Feedback, so please let us know what you think. Give us a call today so we can setup a free trial or provide a demonstration walk through to show you how things work.

One of the things that Lizzy prides herself on, is the ability to help streamline and manage the communication gap between employees. In a normal business, employees are all the time having to stop what they’re doing to ask someone else a question, or to answer other employee’s questions. How many times have you gotten up, walked down the hall to ask someone something, only to find that they were in a meeting or on the phone.

In this blog entry I’m going to be discussing some of the ways Lizzy can help out when communicating internally with fellow workers.

One of the first things that you have to do, if you’re going to run a successful business, is to set down rules for everyone to follow. Included in these rules should be a list of steps to follow when communicating internally. I mean, we can’t have people just walking all around in circles interrupting everyone else and causing so much noise that no one can work. We need procedures that can be easily followed that gets them the information they need, but with minimal interruption to everyone else. Lets see how Lizzy might be able to help out here.

Some Assumptions:

First we need to assume that you’re using Lizzy to her full potential, which includes employees clocking in via the time clock feature as well as using the dashboard to schedule events, meetings and so forth. We also need to be using specific modules within the system, and for this discussion we’ll assume we’re running a call center.

The Path To Good Communication:

The first step to good communication skills is to realize that everyone else has a job to perform as well. While it may help you get your job done faster if you jump up and go ask someone a question, it might not be the best overall practice. Lets assume we’re logged into Lizzy and are using the CRM system to track our calls and open and work on Tickets for customers. The first most important report in the system is found under the Reports menu called “In Process”. This report will show you very quickly what everyone in the company is currently working on. It will also display Calendar events if any happen to be scheduled during the moment that you run the report.

So with a single click I can see if a person is on the phone, in a meeting, or on vacation. This simple step saves me from getting up and wasting my time as well as theirs. So lets say that after we run the report we see that the person we’re after is shown as being Clocked In, meaning they are working, but not displayed anywhere else. This tells us they are at the office but aren’t logging calls, or working on Tickets or in meetings, so we’re safe to try to talk to them. We have a few choices as to how to proceed however:

1) We can search the Knowledgebase for our information if it’s something that might have been logged there. This would be things like procedures to follow for computer problems, or specific processes involved in performing data entry. Key elements that are continuously asked of people should be logged in the Knowledgebase and referenced to save everyone time.

2) Quick questions should be sent through the completely encrypted Communications tab directly to the person with the answers. This allows them to answer the question when they get a moment and Lizzy will continue to remind them until they do. She’ll also let you know when they reply.

3) Need a meeting? Schedule it on the persons calendar by adding a new event. Schedule a reminder for them 15 minutes before hand and not only will Lizzy remind them of the meeting, but she’ll also alert them immediately, that you added the event to begin with.

Now instead of haphazardly getting up and disturbing all those around you, you suddenly and instantly can begin letting Lizzy schedule communications and keep track of them in an organized fashion.

Of course, you can always get up and go bother them anyway, but at least now you know they’re not on the phone or in a meeting.
